Steve Dondley, owner of Prometheus Labor Communications, a website development firm in Massachusetts that builds Drupal sites for labor unions and labor-friendly organizations.

Bio

Steve kicked off a career working for unions in 1996 as a union organizer for UFCW Local 1459 in his hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts. He has also worked as an occupational health and safety educator for Western MassCOSH and a community organizer for the Anti-Displacement Project (now known as the Alliance to Develop Power). He has been building websites for unions since 1999. In 2006, he left his paid position as a staffer for the Pioneer Valley AFL-CIO to start Prometheus Labor Communications. Steve remains active in labor movement, currently serving on the board of the Pioneer Valley AFL-CIO in Springfield, MA as the Recording Secretary and is a dues paying member of OPEIU Local 6 in Boston, MA. Prior to his labor career, Steve worked several retail and restaurant jobs and served a 6 year stint in the US Navy aboard nuclear submarines.

Steve is the creator and founding member of the Communicate or Die online community, a website established to build a network of individuals for discussing and developing solutions that allow unions to realize the full potential of Internet technology.
