Drupal for Labor is a loose coalition of [[Drupal for Labor stakeholders]]. It is open to all individuals and organizations that identify themselves as stakeholders.

The Drupal for Labor coalition aims to:

#promote the use of Drupal by labor organizations and workers.
#provide a supportive network of labor-friendly, Drupal developers and users to exchange ideas and best practices.
#brainstorm ways Drupal could be made better to help the cause of unions.
#have a good time doing our best to help unions communicate on the web with Drupal.

== Background and History ==
The "Drupal for Labor" concept is the brainchild of [[User:Sdondley|Steve Dondley]], owner of [http://prometheuslabor.com Prometheus Labor Communications.] While the name "Drupal for Labor" was first conceived in the early part of 2007, the notion that unions should adopt Drupal technology has been with Steve since his first experience with Drupal in October 2003.
